Resident Evil PS5/Xbox Series X Upgrades Release: In the wake of a leak, Capcom has confirmed that the current-generation updates for RE2 and RE3 are currently available. The news of free current-gen updates for the Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 3 Remake, and Resident Evil 7 remakes was formally revealed by Capcom today at the Capcom Showcase. Even better, the upgrades are out immediately, so fans don’t have to wait.

New features including 4K, faster frame rates, ray-tracing, and 3D audio have been added to the games as a result of the upgrades. The DualShock’s haptic feedback will be supported on the PlayStation version. New features and capabilities will be made available to PC users via a free update. If you’ve previously purchased the games on PS4 or Xbox One, you’ll be able to update for free to the newer consoles.
