Summer Games Done Quick: The program for the Summer Games Done Quick 2022 will begin on Sunday and continue through the third of July, which means that another week of exciting speed runs is in store.
It’s almost close to the start of another exciting week of speedrunning action with Games Done Quick, so get ready to get your heart racing! The Summer Games Done Quick event kicks out on June 26, and it will continue on the GDQ Twitch channel for the entirety of the following week. This year’s festival features some new additions to the speedrunning lineup, such as Elden Ring and Monster Hunter: Rise, and it begins with a somewhat specialized (but action-packed) playthrough of a PlayStation classic. Other new additions to the speedrunning lineup this year include Monster Hunter: Rise and Elden Ring.
The Shadow of the Colossus regular time attack random boss rush will get this year’s Super Game Developers Championship (SGDQ) off to a roaring start. This run completely ignores the open-world game’s exploration and cutscenes in favor of going right for the jugular, which consists of 16 battles versus colossi in a completely randomized order. It should take around 47 minutes to complete.
Every day of the week, there are exciting runs that you should keep an eye out for. Any percent run of Phasmophobia’s tiny maps will be broadcasted on June 27 by Brossentia, NPC, FlannelKat, and Peace Egg, so be sure to tune in. On June 28, there will be a playthrough of Yakuza: Like A Dragon on the personal computer, and it is scheduled to last around four hours and 25 minutes. This is the perfect thing to watch if you are looking for something a little bit more length to dig your teeth into.
SGDQ will be hosting a fundraising event in support of the worldwide humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières, and one hundred percent of all donations received throughout the course of the event will be sent to the organization in question.
The official website for SGDQ 2022 includes a comprehensive timetable that may be accessed there. The event will come to a close on July 3 with a 33-minute run of Elden Ring at any percent level performed by Hyp3rsomniac. This is a performance that we are not going to want to miss.
