PS5 and Xbox Series X/S updates for Assassin's Creed

PS5 and Xbox Series X/S updates for Assassin’s Creed: Assassin’s Creed Origins, which takes place in ancient Egypt, will soon receive a 60fps upgrade for current-generation consoles.

Ubisoft has yet to publicly announce the update, but PlayStationSize, a Twitter account that routinely crawls behind the scenes of the PlayStation Store, was able to get its hands on the information.

A “franchise menu” and an option to select a “higher framerate” on PS5 are among the new features included in the update’s patch notes. There’s a good chance the update will go live within the week. This series’ excellent entry in Ancient Greece, Origins: Odyssey, already has 60 frames per second option introduced by Ubisoft. Odyssey now features a “franchise menu” that displays and recommends other recent Assassin’s Creed titles, like Valhalla.

It was after that that Ubisoft indicated it was looking into the idea of doing something similar for Origins and here we are.

However, the release of Odyssey’s upgrade was preceded by a highly delightful crossover between Kassandra and Eivor, with new playable story missions in both games.

To avoid giving anything away, fans are hoping for something similar in Origins, as well as another crossover involving the show’s talented lead Bayek. So yet, there has been no mention of it.
