Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 New-Gen launching in 2023

According to reports, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 will be released only on new-generation consoles and PC in 2023. He mentioned so on an edition of his Giant Bomb podcast by VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb (thanks, VGC). ‘Star Wars Jedi 2′ will only be available on new-generation consoles,’ Grubb explained. “That means PS5, Xbox Series X, and S, as well as PC.”

People who can’t get their hands on a PS5 or Xbox Series X will have to wait until 2023 to get their hands on the sequel, according to Grubb. “Because it won’t be released until 2023, they’ll have plenty of time to do it. The release date of this game has been pushed out to 2023 with certainty.”

While neither EA nor Respawn have confirmed a release date or timetable for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2, leaker Tom Henderson told us back in January that the game was “anticipated to release” before the end of the year at the very least. Grubb’s statement contradicts what we’ve been hearing, but it’s possible that the release timetable has changed since January, and Grubb is reporting on the most up-to-date information. There’s a chance that they’re both incorrect. That might happen when information is leaked or a rumor spreads.

The sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has yet to be announced, but Grubb has previously stated that a reveal in May 2022 is anticipated. As far as we’ve heard, EA itself has only stated that it plans to “continue to invest” in the series back in August of 2017. In 2019, Respawn told GamesRadar+ that they were interested in extending the plot.
